

A faithful member of First Baptist Church, Zachary, Judy was deeply involved in the music ministry, where she wrote and directed numerous musical productions that touched the lives of many. She graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and spent her career teaching English, Speech, and Drama at the middle school level, where she inspired generations of students with her love of learning and creativity.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Clayton Causey, Sr.; her parents, James Hullett Joiner and Mary Dorothy Monday Joiner; and her brother, Jimmy Joiner.
She is survived by her children, Clacy Causey Madison of Baton Rouge, LA, and Clay Causey (Portia) of Knoxville, TN; and her grandchildren, Caly Causey Byrnes (Grady) of Westfield, IN, Cade Causey (Erin) of Knoxville, TN, Corban Causey Hogue (Timothy) of Knoxville, TN, Caleb Causey of Memphis, TN, Charis Causey of Knoxville, TN, Meridith Madison of Chattanooga, TN, and Benjamin Madison of Baton Rouge, LA.
Receiving of friends will be held at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary, LA. on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 10am with a funeral service to follow at 11am, officiated by her son, Clay Causey.
Judy will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother whose faith, creativity, and care for others left a lasting impact on all.
