She was a lifelong member of Green Acres Baptist Church and a valued employee of CEMEX Knoxville. Her family was her greatest joy, and her home was one of warmth, love, and laughter. In addition to her faith, Karen had a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of life in every moment. Her kind spirit and nurturing heart touched all who knew her, and her legacy of love and service will live on forever.
She dedicated herself to serving God and others, starting at a young age. At just 23, she began teaching Sunday School, a role she embraced with passion and commitment for more than 30 years. Her influence touched countless children, inspiring them to live with kindness, compassion, and faith.
Her love for Christ was evident in every aspect of her life, as she sought to live with a heart full of grace and humility. Karen believed in the power of love and service, and she poured herself into her family, her church, and her community. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of everything she did, and she was an example of what it meant to live a Christ-centered life.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Glenn Randall Suffridge Jr; mother, Margie "Katherine" Williams; father-in-law, Glenn Suffridge Sr. and many special aunts and uncles.
Karen is survived by her children, Kaitlin Suffridge, Brent (Kristin) Hansard; father, Carl "Richard" Williams; sister: Vanessa (Rob) Watkins; grandchildren: Emma, Elliott; several nieces, nephews; extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 2, 2025 between the hours of 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Green Acres Missionary Baptist Church, 10144 Rutledge Pike, Mascot with a service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Tim Muncey, Rev. Nathan McCroskey and Rev. Rocky Glenn officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM, Thursday, April 3, 2025, at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville and go in procession to Clear Springs Cemetery, Mascot for an 10:00 AM Interment officiated by Rev.
