Katheryn Irene King

King, Katheryn Irene Baker, age 92, of Knoxville, TN entered the arms of Jesus on November 16, 2016 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was a Christian mother, devoted to God and family, and a long standing member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.

Katheryn was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Stella Baker, her beloved husband, Ernest Monroe “Rowe” King; sister, Opal Johnson; brothers, Reece and Buford Baker. She is survived by daughter, Gleneva (Dan) Hinnant; sons, Alger (Elaine) King, Elton (Jeanie) King; six grandchildren, Stephanie Thompson Powers, Jessica King Harrison, Kerissa (Keri) King, Ginger Thompson Smelcer, Amber Thompson Bell, and Josh King; four great-grandchildren; brother, Beecher Baker; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with services to follow Friday, November 18th at Valley Grove Baptist Church, 9000 Sevierville Pike. Interment will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 19th at Berry Highland South Memorial Park, 9010 W Simpson Road.
