Kathryn B. Nichols

Nichols,Kathryn(Buckner), 91, of South Knoxville went home to be with her Lord after a brief illness March 1, 2012 with her loving daughter and niece by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Troy & Mattie Buckner, Burnsville, N.C. Husband and love of her life Roe Nichols, Son: Howard Nichols, Knoxville, TN. Loving Brother and Sister-in-Law Edward and Ruth Buckner, Abingdon, VA. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her loving daughter Barbara Nichols, Knoxville, TN. Special niece Juliene Buckner Arnold and Husband Ronnie, Bristol, VA. Niece: Carolyn and Nathan Arthur, Arden, N.C. Nephews: Jimmy and Lovonne Buckner, Burnsville, N.C. Michael and Rev. Terry Buckner, Wilmington, N.C. Great Nieces: Michelle(Trevor) Browder, Blountville, TN. Melissa Arnold, and Sarah Arnold Bristol, VA. Great Great Nephew Logan Browder, Blountville, TN. Great Great Niece Shayla Arnold, Bristol, VA. Special longtime Friends, Betty Spangler, and Ethel Arden, Knoxville. Mrs. Nichols was saved at a young age and a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for 62 years. A member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class, where she was dearly loved by all. Mrs. Nichols a native of Burnsville, N.C. moved to Knoxville in her early twenties to attend Business College. Upon graduation she worked for Greyhound Lines retired with 43 yrs. of service. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 4th at MT. Olive Baptist Church 1 to 2 p.m. Service to follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Deron Cobb and Rabbi Michael Weiner, Burial to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers: Richard Householder, Alan Spangler, Bill Harper, Delmar Blazier and George Buchanan. The family would like to thank caregivers Allene Little and Helen Lindsey and Tennova, Hospice nurses and facility. Flowers will be accepted or donations in honor of Mrs. Nichols can be made to Mt.
