Kathryn Lynn Thomas

Kathryn Lynn Thomas, age 66, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Kathy was a lifelong resident of Knoxville. She received her masters degree in social work for the University of Tennessee. After receiving her masters she had a rewarding career helping children. She was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon as well as other areas of service. Kathy was an avid reader, ice skater, and a devoted Siamese cat lover. She leaves behind her two beloved cats, Velvet and Annie. Kathy was hearing challenged but now hears the voices of angels.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Blackbourne and Annette Bass; husband, Steve Thomas. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Mike Jones; niece, Lauren Srodka (Jake); nephew, Taylor Jones; great nephews, Camden and Asher Srodka.

A graveside service will be held for Kathy on July 13, 2023 at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery. A service will be held at 12pm at Second Presbyterian Church with a reception for family and friends to follow.
