

Kenny was born on April 18th, 1953 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a devoted family man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a soft-spoken nature and was known for his captivating storytelling abilities. His voice and memories will forever live on through his cherished family.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father; Earl Helms, mother; Trula Jeanette Helms; brothers Christopher "Chris" Helms and Robert "Bobby" Helms.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years; Debra "Debbie" Ann Helms; his children Mary Beth Helms; William David Helms; his granddaughters; Macy (Jeff) Glaspie and Victoria Shahan; his grandson Eli Helms; and his great-grandchildren Deklyn, Laraleigh Shahan, Kylie Glaspie. He is also survived by his mother-in-law; Sammy Cupp; sister-in-law, Teresa Cupp; niece and nephews; Maricela (Nick) Villegas, Marcel Cupp, as well as his brothers; Ricky and Scott Helms.
Kenny attended South High School and later pursued a career at KUB. He attended and worshipped at Mt. Olive and Calvary, where he found solace and strength in the Lord. In his free time, Kenny enjoyed his hobbies, which included his faith, muscle cars, and playing cards with his wife.
