Larry Gene Cupp

Larry passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his family. He was born at home in Blount County, TN on March 15th, 1942. He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Guider and parents, Earl Lee Cupp and Martha Cleo Rule Cupp of Knoxville, TN.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, his daughter Kim Trentham and Marshall, his son Bryan Cupp and Rich, his sister Donna Cupp and his brother Bill Cupp and Gail.

He had five grandchildren, Brittany Loy, Jake Haynes, Megan Buck, Hillary Guider and Kelsey Cupp. He was blessed with nine great grandchildren whom he adored.

Larry was a well-known professional in Automotive Repair Management and the Vehicle Appraisal business for over 50 years. He also served in the Army Reserves for six years.

Visitation will be held at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 East Simpson Road, Knoxville TN, on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, from 1pm to 3pm with the burial immediately following the service.

Larry’s nephew, Pastor Chris Cupp will be officiating.

Larry loved and cared deeply for all little children, and he donated monthly to Saint Jude Research Hospital. It is for that reason, if possible, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Saint Jude Research Hospital in memory of Larry Gene Cupp.
