Laura Breeden, age 41, of Straw Plains, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Ft. Sanders Transitional Care in Knoxville. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Thomas Breeden; step father, Mike Washam; brothers Tim, Daniel and Douglas Carter and a nephew Daniel French. Laura is survived by her mother, Brenda Denton; sons, Joshua Breeden and Derek Hatchell; daughters, Larissa and Zoe Breeden and Heather Monday; sister, Melissa Carter as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends too numerous to count. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 pm, Friday, April 28, 2017 at McCarty Evergreen Chapel. Following the visitation everyone will disperse and meet at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Straw Plains for a 2:00 pm, graveside service with Rev. Johnny Lane officiating.
