Johnson, Leonard – age 89, of Knoxville, joined his wife in Heaven on Monday, January 19, 2015. Leonard was a member of South Knoxville Church of God; a WWII veteran; a heavy equipment operator and was retired from Story Brothers Machinery. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Flora Johnson; wife Dorothea Sise Johnson; brother, Clarence; and sisters, Nina, Lela, Louise, and Margie. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Angelia and Thomas McNair, and Tonya and Rocky Glenn; sons, and daughters-in-law, Leonard (Butch) and Marji Johnson, Terry (T.J.) and Linda Johnson; sister, Leoma (Potsie); over 45 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends that he and his wife sang with over the years. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 4:30-6:30pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with the service to follow at 6:30pm; Rev. Rocky Glenn officiating.
