Lorraine was a such an inspiration and she was truly gifted with hospitality. We worked together for many years cooking and serving at church. She was a hard worker with many talents, with an eye for style and always such a classy lady.  Lord bless her family.

I'm enjoying reading the sweet tributes to this lovely lady.....especially the one about her volunteer work at the free clinic.  Dr. Kim is an amazing person, and that's one of the reasons people like to volunteer for him.  We could all take a lesson from people like Lorraine and Dr. Kim.

Lorraine was a faithful volunteer here at the Free Medical Clinic for many years and just retired from her "Thursday afternoon" position last year at the age of 93.  She was an inspiration to all of our younger volunteers as she could work circles around them with her never ending energy!  She had a kind and courteous attitude toward our patients as she welcomed them into our "medical home" with her infectious smile.  Her beautiful tailoring skills always amazed me as she wore so many lovely pieces that she had sewn.  She will be missed but never forgotten.

I met my dear Lorraine in my teens and our age difference was 40 years.... This was an intergenerational friendship that molded my life in many ways:  she inspired my love for crafts, art, cooking, travel etc.  but above all she taught me, with example, not to be afraid of the opinion of others and always do what I thought was right.  Just a few months ago she told me how happy she felt with her life, her beautiful family and how she felt that her greatest experience in her life was to visit Colombia (South America) and have a cultural confrontation so meaningful to her.  My Dear John, Carol and Bryan your mother had a wonderful life and will be greatly missed...thank you for borrowing her to touch the lives of so many people in this world.  P.D. Carol, John and Brian, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother.  She was my mother Annie Lou Reagan's best friend.  They had taught at Anderson School and remained friends for many years, taking trips together, having lunch together every week, etc.  I hope it gives you comfort to know that they are back together again in heaven catching up and having good times together once again.

Lorraine taught my four kids at Anderson School. I remember her very well. She was a wonderful person, so good to the kids.   I used to see her at restaurants in South Knoxville with other teacher friends.  She was a lovely lady. Please accept my sympathy to the family and all of her friends.

Lorraine was a dear friend and an inspiration. It was a delight to work with her at church and at Cross. It amazed me what she could accomplish. May your memories give you smiles, your faith give you strength and your family and friends love and comfort during this difficult time.
