

Lucille Edith McKnight passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 92. Born April 5, 1933, Lucille was a devoted, talented, and compassionate woman whose life reflected quiet strength, faith, and care for others. A resident of Knoxville, Tennessee, she will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by all who knew her.
Lucille’s life was shaped by her connection to the Mormon Church. She was also a reiki master and healing touch practitioner, offering comfort and support through her compassionate presence and dedication to healing.
A gifted artist, Lucille enjoyed oil painting and watercolor, and she won several awards for her art. Her creativity and eye for beauty were evident in the work she produced and in the way she approached life.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, John M. McKnight; her parents, Edgar and Della Blakely; and her siblings, Charles, James, Otis, Ira, Louise, and Pauline.
She leaves behind to honor her memory her daughters, Gina (Forrest) Finders and Teresina (Karl) Wheaton; her grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremiah) Coram, Rebecca (Murphy) Caldwell, Ivan (Holly) Wheaton, and Shane Arnold; her great-grandchildren, Joseph and Addison Coram, Deegan and Alaska Wheaton, and Bruce Arnold; and her precious dog, Angel.
Lucille’s enduring love for art and healing, and the steady grace with which she lived, will remain a lasting part of her family’s story and the memories of those who were fortunate to know her.
