Words cannot express the positive influence she has had on many people. A kind, gentle, thoughtful woman. One who taught and led by example. With her quick smile and bright eyes, she welcomed everyone into her home. We always knew that any of our friends would be welcomed at Mom’s. Our
friends knew this also, and accepted her hospitality.
What a gift. She was Mom and Grandmother to so many. If you need a babysitter, call Mom. Need a ride to the doctor, call Mom. She tried to make herself available to anyone that might need her, and many people did need her. She was a confidant, a counselor, and a cheerleader.
Over the years, we have seen so many relatives and neighbors come to her with their problems. She might not solve those problems, but each person left knowing that she listened; she was concerned and she cared.
If Mom could speak to us, she would tell us how thankful she has been for her family and her neighbors. She spent a lifetime caring for others. Some of us were fortunate enough to be with her and help her as her health declined. We would like to thank everyone, family and friends, neighbors and medical personnel. The amount of love and care that she has received is a testament to the love, care, and compassion that she always shared. We, those of us who loved her then, love her now, and will continue to love her. We are so very grateful to have been a part of her life.
Family and friends will gather at Thorngrove Cemetery at 10:45 am on Friday, October 7, 2022 for an 11:00 am graveside service.
