

She was born in Milan, Tennessee, on May 25, 1933, to Raymond and Lillian (Morris) Fuchs, during the height of the depression. She grew up on a farm where she learned the German work ethic, which she never lost. She was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and the Couples and Friends Sunday School Class. She made her commitment to Jesus Christ at the age of fourteen and was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Milan Tennessee, where she was a member until her move to Knoxville.
She was a member of the Bonny Kate Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and an avid amateur genealogist who did gratis research for many friends. She retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service, working at both the Main Street and Weisgarber facilities. She loved her job.
Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lillian Fuchs; husband, William C. (Bill) Foulk; brother, Charles Kenneth Fuchs; sister, Nellie Jeanette Harwell; sister-in-law, JoAnn Fuchs, and stepson, David Earl Foulk.
Survived by daughter Robin Trotter (Sonny), Knoxville, son Richard E. Henry (Cindy), Hendersonville.
Grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth and Caroline Trotter, Knoxville, Rachael Kapperman (Cameron), Chattanooga, Parker Henry, Nashville, Bethany Leatherwood (Brian), Seymour, Jonathan Foulk (Brooke), Louisville, Julie Wilson (Adam), Knoxville, Joshua Leatherwood (Myca), Seymour. Many nieces and nephews are scattered across the United States. And her dog and best friend, Finley, who has given her great joy.
Survived by Great-grandchildren, Jack Henry Kapperman, Charles Thompson Kapperman, Sarah Leatherwood, Joshua Leatherwood (Myca), Turner, Ellie, and Hadley Foulk, Rowen, Asher, and Gideon Wilson. Many thanks to her special friends, Lisa Watkins and Alan Giles, who have helped her through many trials; Deborah and Dennis Johnson, Susan and Carl Woods, and Shannon Hodges Hall.
The family wishes to thank Dr. James Rivers, Dr. John Swisher, and her exceptional caregivers, Angie and Lilly Cowherd.
I leave to all my love and appreciation, especially to my daughter Robin, who has shouldered all the responsibility, cared for and watched over me for many years and Sonny, Caroline, and Mary Elizabeth for helping with chores I could no longer do.
Family and friends will meet at 10:30 AM, Wednesday morning, July 23, 2025, at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 and go in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 for an 11:00 AM graveside service officiated by Rev. Dana Fachman. Special music will be provided by Dennis Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Meridian Baptist Church, 6513 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920
