Sams, Mary Mable Simpson, age 85 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 25, 2015. Mary was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and a member of Eastern Star. Mary was preceded in death by parents, John and Sudie Simpson of Pineville, Kentucky; husband, Vernon Sams of Hamilton, Ohio; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Shari Sams; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Russell McCurdy; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 12:00-2:00pm at Berry Funeral Home on Chapman Highway, service to follow at 2:00pm with Rev. James McTyre officiating.
