Millie was born on February 8, 1936 in Maryville, TN and grew up there. She married Martin Cagle in 1959 and they raised two sons in their South Knoxville home. She enjoyed her career as a teller for many years with East Tennessee Military Association Credit Union and later as a floral designer. Millie joined Mount Olive Baptist Church in 1968 along with Martin, and faithfully served there until she was unable to attend. She loved being part of the choir there and also served in the nursery, women’s ministry and led a Sunday School class. In her later years, she found great joy in rehearsing and performing with the Transformers Women’s Ensemble. One of her greatest joys was playing the piano and singing.
