FARMER, NAN C. age 91 of Knoxville, departed this life Sunday, September 20, 2015. Longtime member of Lonsdale Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Retired from K-Mart as Personnel Manager. Preceded in death by husband, Alvin K. Farmer; son, Jerry A. Farmer and several brothers and sisters. Survived by son, Terrell A. Farmer; daughter-in-law, Jean Farmer; grandchildren, Bradley and Scott Farmer; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, C.J. Coley; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her friend and caregiver for 8 years, Tonya Corkland. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Friday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for an 11 am graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pat Summitt Foundation.
