Neil David Kirk

KIRK, NEIL DAVID - age 72 of Karns, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at North Knoxville Medical Center after a courageous 2 1/2 years battle with cancer. He was owner of NuAire Systems. Preceded in death by his parents, Teddie and Myrtle Kirk; sister, Emogene Kirk Pate; nephew, David Pate. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Shirley Graham Kirk; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melissa Kirk; granddaughters, "his sunshine", Kaitlin and Kara Kirk; sister, Lana Melton; mother-in-law, Flora Graham; brothers-in-law, Frank and Fred Graham; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff of Tennessee Cancer Specialists, especially Dr. Gharavi and nurse, Jennifer and his pulmonary doctor, Dr. Brunson and the nursing staff of North Knoxville Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cumberland Baptist Church, 5600 Western Ave. Knoxville, TN 37921 or to the Cancer Fund at Compassion In Action, 3201 Chantilly, Knoxville, TN 37917. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday the 31st at Cumberland Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7:00 pm. Rev. Kerry Bond officiating.
