

Cunningham Jr., O.C. (Jack), of Knoxville, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. Jack was a proud World War II Navy Veteran, serving in amphibious forces in both the European and Asiatic theaters as a Gunners Mate 2nd class. He worked as a design engineer for 38 years at Robertshaw Controls. Jack was a devoted and active member of South Knoxville Baptist Church since 1956, where he served as both a deacon and Sunday school secretary. Above all else, Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by parents Otis Chandler Cunningham and Helen Snyder Cunningham; Son-in-law, David Jordan. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Jeanne King Cunningham; Daughter, Carol Elizabeth Jordan; Son, John Harold Cunningham; Grandchildren, Davey Jordan (Monica), Andrew Jordan (Kim), Blake Cunningham (Jenny), Lauren Rivera (Brandon), Great grandson, Declan Cunningham. Family will receive friends 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Sunday at South Knoxville Baptist Church with a Funeral Service to follow. Dr. Glenn Sullivan and Rev. Kirk Werner will be officiating. Following the service, family and friends will proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery in procession for the interment service with full military honors by East Tennessee Honor Guard.
