She was born in Knoxville, TN on September 8, 1938, and a graduate of South High School, class of 1956. She started her adventures in life by braving the rural mountains of Kentucky where she worked as a secretary at Frontier Nursing Service, the pioneers of providing essential healthcare to rural families, especially to midwifery, accessible only by horseback.
She married John G. Correia and they continued his military service. They had the opportunity to travel the eastern seaboard, including Central America. One of the families most memorable adventures was driving with their 3 daughters and 2 cars from Washington DC through Central America to Panama. Oh what fun they had.
Patsy enjoyed many things including bowling, watching sports (football and basketball), card games, board games, collecting Naber Kid Dolls, camping, car clubs and shows (British and Corvairs) with John.
Her adventures did not stop there and continued to add bucket list items when she moved to Alabama. She attended multiple parades including Mardi Gras, king cake tasting event, weekly drives across Mobile Bay to have her hair done (each time we crossed the bay she would talk about Home Free, her favorite music group), Costco shopping and their samples, many other shopping trips, high school football games, research and documenting family history and genealogy.
She was a charter member of the Sevier County VFW Auxiliary Chapter 10025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Roy and Mary Crumley, husband John G Correia, and brother Robert J. Crumley.
She is survived by daughters, Sharon Altomare (Michael), Janet Knott (David), Anne Covington (Jimmy), her brother Lowell Crumley (Ned), Seven Grandchildren, Elizabeth Keene (John), Steven Altomare (Miranda), Jessica Knott (fiancée Michael), Jennifer Messer (DJ), Cassie Covington, Holly Blalock (Thomas) and Alex Covington.
