Pauline Hamby

Pauline (Polly) Elizabeth Kelley Hobson Hamby, age 90, went to be with her Heavenly Father and many loved ones, January 2, 2018. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee’ October 2, 1927, the first born child of parents, James and Erma Kelley. A devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend of many. She was a long-time resident of Hardin Valley and a dedicated member of 60 plus years at Ball Camp Baptist Church. She served passionately as the Shut-In Ministry Facilitator for many years at her church. Throughout these last few years of her illness, she inspired all of us with her positive and loving attitude. Preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Claude E. Hobson, Jr. (April 1970) and James W. Hamby of 22 years (November, 2006)’ brothers, Jim, Richard and Terry Kelley and sisters, Verna Walp and Linda Schaffer. Survived by sons, Tim Hobson, Chino CA, Wayne (Joy) Hobson, Oak Island NC, Ric (Sheila) Hobson, Knoxville and Lindsey Hobson, Knoxville; daughter-in-law, Kathy Storey Hobson, Knoxville; stepsons, James (Pam) Hamby Jr. and Richard (Teresa) Hamby, Clinton, TN; sisters, Trudy Al-Chokchachi and Barbara (Ken) Sharp; brother, Jerry (Theresa) Kelley; grandchildren, Steve (Kim) Hobson, Jason Hobson, Lori Hobson, Gina (Jimmy) Williams, Emily (Tony) Walls, Sarah Hobson, Jeremy Hobson and Will Hobson; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Josh, (Laura), Rachel, Micah, Bella, and Elizabeth Williams, Tanner and Noah Hobson, Abby and Isaiah Walls, great-great-grandchild, Aden Walls many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Ball Camp Baptist Church, Thursday from 5:30 pm- 7:00 pm with service to follow at 7:00 pm. Rev. Lee Fox officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday at 1:45 pm at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 pm interment. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ball Camp Baptist Church Shut-In Ministry.
