Quentin Eugene Lawhorn, of Knoxville, passed away August 21, 2021 to be with his wife Pat who passed away 10 years ago. He will be missed as a father, a papaw, and a poppy. He is survived by two daughters, Donna Wagoner and Tammy Lindsey and son, John Pratt. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Quentin worked as a welder fabricator, and then as the manager and coach at the skating rink. But his true specialty was as a teacher of how to live life. He taught many lessons, like how to be calm and patient, how to love a spouse, how to be a hands-on father, and how to have a ready smile – all the while sporting a great fro’. He still lives on through the many lives he touched when he served as a coach and mentor for competitive speed skating for Skatetown USA in the 80s. He truly was an awesome man and we will miss him!
