Messamore, Rachel Elizabeth, age 94 of Strawberry Plains passed away January 26, 2011. She was employed and retired from Standard Knitting Mill. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for 73 years.
Preceded in death by; Father and Mother Fred and Mary Messamore, Brothers Fredrick and Sam Messamore; Sister Noarene Wilkerson. She is survived by Sister-in-law; Lennie Messamore, Niece: Willie Mae Gillenwater, several cousins, friends and Guardian Angels.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7pm Friday January 28, 2011 in the chapel of McCarty – Evergreen Funeral Home , with the Rev. Matthew Cook officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Saturday Jan 29, 2011 at the Thorngrove Cemetery for a 11:00am Interment service. The family will receive friends on Friday January 28, 2011 from 6:00 pm until time for funeral services at 7:00 pm. Pallbearers will be: Wes Sheedy, Jim Griffin, David Register, Darrell Fawver, Randy Cain and Arthur Clifton. Honorary pallbearers: Will be the Deacons of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
