ABBOTT, RICHARD S. – age 68 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Preceded in death by his father, Richard; mother, Ruby; sisters, Patricia and Peggy Jean. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Peggy Jo Tharpe Abbott, his loving and devoted niece, Shala Marie Fairchild and her husband Josh; brother, Steve (Shelia) Abbott; sisters, Charlotte (John) Dugan, Candice Moore; special friend, Ronnie Anderson and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Saturday in Weaver’s chapel on Western Ave. with service to follow at 7 pm.
