

Richard E Jinks, age 92 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2025. He was a working man who loved his family and his church. Richard was the longest living member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Knoxville and loved all Tennessee sports and was a Usher at U.T stadium. He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Alpha Jinks; wife, Myrl Jinks; brothers, Jim Jinks, Billy Jinks, Bobby Jinks, Gordon Jinks and Frankie Jinks; sisters, Margaret Jinks, Anna Ruth Sizemore, Patsy Blalock and Janice Winder. He is survived by sons, Ricky (Connie) Jinks and Steven (Tonya) Jinks; daughters, Debbie Jinks and Tracy Jinks. 10 grandchildren, Craig Miller, Chris Miller, Brad Jinks, Josh Jinks, Kevin Jinks and Kyle Quirion. Annie Harris, Ashley Larson, Abby Jinks and Jesse Morgan; 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; much loved by a multitude of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday January 9, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Highland South 9010 E. Simpson Road, service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Perry Delk and Rev. Steve Lethco. Family and friends will meet Friday January 10, 2025 at New Gray Cemetery on Western Ave for a 11:00 a.m. interment.
