Richard E. Turner

Richard E. Turner, age 79 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a Proud Member and Deacon of Beech Grove Baptist Church, He retired from Y-12 after 27 years of service in many different capacities. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in from 1960-1963. Additionally he was a 1955 graduate of Bearden High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hal and China Smith Turner, siblings Mable Gibson, Virginia Paul and Fred Turner.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 and a half years Althea Stalyons Turner, children Angela and Sherman Wesley, Donna and Anthony West, Richard and Amy Turner, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The Turner family will receive friends Monday, January, 23, 2017 from 5-7pm at Berry HIGHLAND MEMORIAL. A funeral service will be led at 7pm Monday, January 23, 2017 with Bro. David McCormack and Rev. Brandon McCormack officiating at Berry HIGHLAND MEMORIAL, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, 37919. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Berry HIGHLAND WEST, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932, at 1:45 for a 2pm Entombment service.
