A man of Baptist faith and a proud graduate of Doyle High School, Ricky dedicated 45 years of his life to Lawson Masonry where his strong work ethic and commitment were evident to all who knew him.
Ricky was truly one of a kind—a devoted family man who treasured his children and grandchildren above all else. His fun-loving spirit and caring nature touched the hearts of everyone he encountered. He found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially relaxing with a cold one while cheering on his favorite football teams, always with his trademark cigarette in hand. His warmth, laughter, and genuine love for others created memories that will be cherished forever.
Ricky was preceded in death by Theresa Howey, the beloved mother of his children; his mother, Margaret Poston; his son, Ricky Lawson II; his brothers Charles, Mark, and John Lawson; and his sister, Linda McMasters. Though he carried the weight of these losses, his love for them never dimmed.
He leaves behind a legacy of love to be cherished by his father, Bill Lawson; his sons Rusty (Samantha) Lawson, Justin (Taylor) Lawson; his sisters, Robin (Mark) Stallings Carolyn (Bob) McVay, Tonya Peel, Deborah Tipton, and Pat Lynn; and his precious grandchildren Baylee Lawson, Nia Lawson, James-Thomas "J.T." Lawson, Bentley Lawson, Lincoln Lawson, and Bristol Owens who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
