

Roger John Lee Age 81 of Sevierville, TN Went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2022 He is survived by his wife, Elaine Brown Lee Sisters: Martha Hyney (MacNair) of Fort Plain, NY Toni Allison of New Market, TN Kathy Casullo (Richard) of Ballston Lake, NY Sister-in-Law: Doris Brown Hoffmann (Peter) of Homer, NY as well as a niece, several nephews, and their children all of whom reside in NY. Roger was born September 29, 1940 and lived in several states growing up. He attended high school in Snowflake, AZ. and served in the U.S. Army from 1958 through 1961. After his discharge he worked transporting essential goods throughout the New England states. In 1966 he began training as a licensed FAA aircraft mechanic and pilot. Beginning in 1967 he worked at the Broome Co. Airport in New York State. The following year he became chief pilot and a zone manager for Cessna Aircraft Corp. in Morristown, N.J. It was also in 1968 that he married his wife, Elaine Brown, in her home town of Homer, New York. They resided in New Jersey for five years before moving to Florida in 1973. Roger worked at Fort Lauderdale International Airport and at other airports in south Florida for the next 30 years. He was an excellent pilot with several pilot's licenses and thousands of hours of flight time in many types of aircraft. While residing in Broward Co., Florida Roger eventually owned businesses dealing in aircraft instrumentation sales and service. He loved to fly and Elaine loved being his favorite passenger when she was not busy teaching school. They attended Epworth United Methodist Church in Hollywood,FL. and were active for many years. in the Via de Cristo Christian community in south Florida. Roger loved to golf. Both he and Elaine took up scuba diving, and traveled to many beautiful places in the world where Roger practiced his favorite hobby, photography. He won several photography awards in competitions over the years. Both Roger and Elaine retired in 2003 and moved to beautiful east Tennessee. They continued to travel and work part time for Enterprise Rent-A-Car as drivers. Roger was outgoing and "never met a stranger" as they say. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and his loving heart. He will be sorely missed by many. They are members of Kodak United Methodist Church where a Celebration of Life service for Roger will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022. There will be Visitation beginning at 5:00 PM. At 6:00 PM the Celebration Service begins for those who wish to attend in person. The service will also be live streamed at 6:00 PM via Facebook.com/KodakChurch.
