I will always remember all the Sundays we spent in church at Dover & the lunches we truly enjoyed together afterwards.  The one that really stands out in my memory was the Sunday we came home from church to find our full grown steer out of the pasture.   I still remember Ron helping John & myself get him back in his pin.  We are keeping you all in our thoughts & prayers.

Ron was the type of guy who was so soft spoken. Such a devoted husband,father, and loved his 4 grands deeply, better known to them as Grumpy. Always willing to help us and others whenever we ask him. He would always show up with his tool box in hand. Always with a smile. 
He loved his beautiful family and willing to go over & above for them. Best grilling guy around. 
Ron, you will be greatly missed by all who knew you. You are healed & whole now with our Heavenly Father. Well done thy good & faithful servant. 





We rarely pass Cracker Barrel in several states without remembering good times we spent with Ron and Karen there.   From the beginning of our friendship in Keokuk, Iowa, when our kids were toddlers, we have laughed and cried together as we watched them grow up. We have shared mission trips, graduations, weddings, and  grand baby dedications. Our anniversaries were one week apart. We fondly remember the year we rode a “Monster Truck” together to celebrate our 40th.  They came cross-country hundreds of miles to our retirement party.  We’re a little jealous that Ron got promoted first but trust that God’s in control.  We’ll miss Ron greatly and we’ll never stop praying for Karen and the family. 

We have been blessed and honored to know Ron & Karen and their family for the last 30+ years.  
Ron was a loyal & steadfast friend, a quiet gentle giant, someone we could count on when we needed help, and a man of God.  We remember decades of Nertz games around the table and lots of laughter.  He was a terrific canasta player.  He could move furniture like a professional mover.  He had a good head on his shoulders.  He was a good man & loved God & his family.
We will miss him for now, but look forward to seeing him later.
I am sure he was greeted in heaven with “ Well done my good and faithful servant”.
Our prayers for comfort go up for Karen and the entire family.

A moment we will never forget with Ron... Christmas 2018. We love you all more than we can say. 

Jaime was my stage manager for countless plays at Farragut Middle and High School...Justin ran lights...and Karen took professional photographs of many cast and crew members throughout the years...and Ron was always there to support and watch the kids perform!  But his ultimate theatrical sacrifice was his blue glitter jacket that had been in his closet for many years!  Ron's jacket made the rounds in many shows...including twice in "Grease" at the high school completing the look of character 'Vince Fontaine'...unfortunately along the way his blue glitter jacket was altered so many times, in order to fit middle and high school students, that it no longer fit him!  Still...Ron 's jacket is the stuff that legends are made of!  I'm going to safely guess that both Ron and his blue glitter jacket are born whole and anew today.  I love the Trulucks and mourn the loss of their strong, patient and kind patriarch right along with them.  His legacy and love for this precious family will continue here on Earth until they meet again.

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing, but grateful he is in heaven with his savior. Praying for the Trulucks during this time.

Karen used to babysit me at the house in Keokuk when Kevin and I were about five. I remember it being a cathedral-like Victorian mansion, but I doubt that was true. I remember big Ron coming home from work and picking up Kevin and I in his lumberjack arms. Ron was a little sterner and bigger than my dad, so I was always a little fearful of him. But in his arms with my best bud in a cloud of 80s aftershave, I knew I was safe. I think of Ron in the arms of Christ now—a little scared, but safe, and fully at rest. Love you Trulucks, I wish I could carry your pain for you. 

I have been mowing Ron’s lawn for well over 10 years. We use to mow the neighbors lawn and one day Ron came over and asked if we could mow his because he was either allergic to bees or he had been stung and had a bad reaction.  I would always pull up and he would come out and we would  just chat, we would talk about all kinds of issues not just lawn related.  I always enjoyed seeing him when we were mowing, he would come out always dressed up, hair was always in perfect shape and had a smile to greet me.  Almost every week from April- November  we would be at his house on a Thursday afternoon and almost every time we pulled up he would come out and greet me, ask about Me and my family. He was a great man who loved his family and would do anything he could to help you or  if you just needed a person to listen he would just lend his time.  My prayers go out to Karen and his family I know this has been a tough year for the family already and I pray that the Lord gives you comfort and strength.  

When Karen and Ron came to Virginia to help us look for a house, we were all so hungry that when we got to the restaurant that night my grandbaby Tyler grabbed the creamers opened it and when he did shot into Ron’s Eye behind his glasses. We were all that hungry too. He was always willing to help set up a house move someone or just be his sweet sweet self. Never did I hear in 47 years an unkind word come from his mouth. He loved the Lord and it showed in everything he did.

Ron was so sweet and always supported his family in any of their dreams which changed throughout the years.  When our first born, Chelsea was born they cared for me who had post partum toxemia  and helped me survive my recovery and our daughter's from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  Later they cared for Chelsea and Ron was alway available to support the family.   I absolutely can not know how I would have found my feet without them,  as my family support had crumbled.  Ron was an amazing guy that I feel honored to have had in my life.   He was an amazing guy and I beleive that his anchoring his family, they will do well at this time of loss.  Love you guys!  Jaime, my heart too is broken!

Will never forget the great Carribean cruise we took with Ron and Karen and another couple Bob & Pam.  Those were great memories.  What a super Great guy Ron was.  We will sure miss him!
