With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Rosie Janet Collins, 82, of Knoxville, Tennessee, who departed this world on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and artistic expression.

Rosie's life was a masterpiece of selfless devotion and quiet strength. As a beacon of unwavering support, she lovingly tended to her aging parents, Homer and Cora Winkler, and her siblings with remarkable grace and tenderness. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond family bonds, touching the lives of countless friends who found comfort in her warm presence.

A woman of many talents, Rosie found joy and expression through her passion for painting, creating works that reflected her beautiful perspective on life. Her artistic creations, like her generous heart, brought color and light to all who knew her.

Above all, Rosie treasured her role as a mother and grandmother. Her daughter Janet and son-in-law John Samar, along with her beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Jacob Samar, were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy lives on through them, as well as through her numerous nieces, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed to share in her journey.

Rosie has now been reunited with her parents, Homer and Cora Winkler; her brothers, Hugh and Wayne Winkler; and her sister, Ellen Neubert, in eternal peace.

Those wishing to honor Rosie's memory are invited to gather at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, where friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A graveside service celebrating her beautiful life will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
