

DANIEL, RUBY CASTLEBERRY- born May 3, 1921 to Lois and Pearl Castleberry passed into eternal life on October 22, 2010. She was a WWII veteran, serving in the Women’s Army Corp as a medical technician. She was one of the oldest members of Solway United Methodist Church, and fulfilled a life-long dream of serving on a mission trip to teach sewing to women in Costa Rica. She was an avid seamstress and quilter.Ruby was preceded in death by husband of 53 years, Charles W. Daniel, 3 sisters, and 10 brothers. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and John Coker; grand-daughter, Cindy Knight and husband John; grandson Daniel Coker, and wife Kristin; great- grandchildren, Morgan, Andrew, and Emma Grace Knight and Jeremiah Adams; sisters, Betty McClaugherty of Radcliff, KY. And Jeanette Cline of Knoxville, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 7 pm. Rev. Henry Lenoir officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Tuesday at Solway Memorial Cemetery for an 11:00 am interment.
