Ruby Marie Dickens

Ruby Marie Dickens, age 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior in Paradise on March 10, 2022. She was retired from Hillsdale Industry but also was a seamstress and for many years created beautiful porcelain dolls.

Ruby was preceded in death by parents, Jim and Vida Stringfield; loving husband, William Truitt Dickens; brother, Mayford Goins; sister, Juanita Jones.

She is survived by sons, Frank (Kay) Dickens of Dallas, Texas, David Dickens of Knoxville and Gary (Jan) Dickens of Knoxville; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Angie (Jody) Strange and Lori (Nathan) Van Gundy and their family, as well as special friends, Phyllis Hurd and Barbara Collins and her beloved women’s group at Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member throughout her life. Ruby loved her family and will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Wayne Trent officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Asbury Cemetery for a 12:00 pm Interment. Condolences may be offered at www.mccartyevergreen.com.
