
Ruth Monday Grayson, 88, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2017. Living life as a prayer warrior, her main goal was to lead people to Jesus. She taught Sunday School classes and adult Bible classes. She wrote many beautiful and inspiring Christian songs and poems. She was a member of the Pursuit Church in Seymour and sang on the Praise Team until April 2015.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was loved by all. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alva H. Grayson; her parents, Bertha and Powell Monday; and sisters: Trula Knight, Eula Cliffton, Aude and Maude Caughorn, and Verna Grayson; and brothers, Floyd and Lloyd Monday. She is survived by her daughters: Pam Timbs; Rita Willson, husband Carl; Debbie Bledsoe, husband James; and son, Gregory Grayson; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, C. L. Monday, wife Frieda; and sister, Edith.
Receiving friends will be Monday, March 27, 2017, from 4-6:30 PM at Berry Highland South Funeral Home on Simpson Rd. with the service following at 6:30 PM with Pastors Jeff Timbs and Clyde Timbs officiating. Burial and graveside service will be 3:00 Pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Berry Highland South Cemetery.
