Sarah W Douglass

Douglass, Sarah W. transitioned to her glorified body July 7, 2016 at home surrounded by family. She lived with the Alzheimer’s disease the last eight years. She was born from the union of William Lewis and Susie McMullen. She was employed at Standard Knitting Mill and Dillard’s. She enjoyed being around the participants of Howard Circle of Friends and two great grandsons, LB Drake IV and King Cade. She is survived by five children, McArthur Douglass, Vicki Waters, Robert Douglass, Sr., Freda Anderson, Roberta Roberts, all of Knoxville, TN; nine grandchildren, Aubrey Burris, Salina Douglass, William Cade, Sara Elizabeth Waters, David Roberts, Jr., of Knoxville, TN, Elise Douglass, Chesapeake, VA, Kenneth Jones, Henrico, VA, Robert Douglass, Jr., Charlotte, NC, Amanda Roberts, Antioch, TN; one sister, Mattie Poole, St. Louis, MO; nine great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will receive friends Monday, July 11th from 12-2pm at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church on Dandridge Ave. Home-going service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Leroy Franklin officiating then process to Berry Highland South on Simpson Road for burial.
