Sarah Elizabeth “Libby” Reed, age 78, of South Knoxville passed away April 3, 2025. Libby was a graduate of Young High School and a 1970 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Nutrition. After graduating she worked at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in the Dietary Department for 40 years. Libby was a lifelong member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Albert Reed and Edith Owsley Reed; brother-in-law, Cullen Davis.
Libby is survived by sister, Carolyn Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Sam Kelly; niece, Lisa (Gabe) Walker; nephew, Jeff Kelly; great-nephews, Landon, Gideon, Eli and Lincoln.
The family would like to thank Jamila Haley for her excellent care of Libby.
