BUMGARDNER, SHIRLEY JEAN – age 71 of Knoxville passed away August 23, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Copper Ridge Baptist Church. President of the Karns Chapter and Board Member of Area Council for ABWA. Preceded in death by parents Levi and Betty Bailey. Survived by husband James (Mike) Bumgardner, son Brad Bumgardner, daughters; Jennifer Bumgardner, and Sandra Griffith and husband Troy, grandchildren Carly and Rylee Griffith, brothers James E. (Jane) Bailey, Bob (Glenda) Bailey, sister Judy (Gary) Cooper, many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Friday at Weavers with chapel service to follow at 8 pm. Pastor Tom Berry officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 am Saturday at Weavers to proceed to Bethel Cemetery for an 11 am interment.
