Susan Elaine Appling

Susan Elaine Appling, age 60, of Powell, Tennessee went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 28, 2024. She is preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Dixon-Cooper, bonus mom Willie Tillman, father-in-law & mother-in-law George and Shirley Appling and stepmother June Cooper. She is survived by her father Connie Cooper of Powell, her husband David A. Appling, daughter Sabrina Palmer, bonus daughter Danielle and Chris Bowman, bonus sons David M. Appling and Chris and Karen Appling, sisters Tina Hooper, Patricia and Johnny Froman, Mandy & Jeff Shackelford, Pam Bell, brothers David Cooper, Steve Cupp, niece Melanie and Chris and Kennedy Stinson, her beloved grandchildren Gavin and Baylee Smith, Brooklyn and McKenzie Smith, Christian Smith, Ethan Edmunson, Hayden Smith, Haylee Shackelford, Kaylee Shackelford, Christa Shackelford, Lexi Jackson and Devin, Dakota Jackson, Shaylyn Jackson, Makiya Martin, Jozion Martin, Kaynan Bowman, Kallie Disney, Elizabeth Appling, CJ Appling, great grandbabies Beckham Smith, Grayson Smith, her aunt Mary Lou and Shelby Haun whom she loved dearly, her besties Margret Hanson and Sherry Griffin, along with many more loved nieces, nephews, and extended family. Susan was a faithful member of Glory Church at Dante. She loved church and her church family deeply. She adored Pastor Lee and Kristy Murphy.

Services for Susan will be held at Glory Church 313 Brown Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918

Monday November 4, 2024

Family from 3pm-4pm. Family and friends from 4pm-7:30pm.

Funeral Service at 7:30pm officiated by Pastor Lee Murphy

Graveside Tuesday November 5, 2024 will be held at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932

Susan had a loving heart so, per the family, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Glory Church Homeless Ministry.
