Thomas C. Fisher, Jr.

Fisher, Thomas C., Jr., age 75, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013. Preceded in death by mother and step-father, Helen Boyd Fisher Franks and Sherley Franks; father, Thomas C. Fisher; son, David Fisher; and daughter, Mindy Fisher. Survived by wife of 52 years, Betty Jo Houser Fisher; sons, Stephen Fisher and Michael Fisher; daughters, Pamela Baker and Jennifer Johnson; and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Fisher was born in Johnstown, PA and moved to Knoxville in 1954. He was a graduate of South High School and the University of Tennessee School of Engineering. He was retired from TVA with 33 years of service and had recently worked with FEMA and BVI. Mr. Fisher was a dedicated member of South Knoxville Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years and was the current Chairman of the Deacons. Mr. Fisher was a man of honor and integrity and lived his Christian faith daily. He will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 5, 2013 at South Knoxville Baptist Church from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with the funeral service at 2:00 PM, Dr. Glenn Sullivan officiating.
