Tom Tucker

Thomas "Tom" Ray Tucker, age 61, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 after a short illness. He devoted his life to teaching high school math. Tom was a wonderful son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He enjoyed all sports. Tom was always there for his family, friends and students.

He will never be forgotten and his legacy will live forever.

He was preceded in death by parents, John William and Ida Tucker; brother, John Tucker; sisters: Cindy Swicegood and Karen Tucker.

Tom is survived by sisters: Margaret Murray, Sonya (Steve) Lay; Kimberly Viles; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extended their heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful care provided by the 12th Floor Nursing Staff at the University of Tennessee.

A Visitation will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville with a service to follow at 7:00 PM with Tom's principal, Bobby Simpson of Knoxville Christian School officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 for an 11:00 AM Interment Service.

Craig Kennedy, Steven Lay, Dave Zubler and Jimmy Bishop will serve as pallbearers.
