Tracy Michelle McKinley

Tracy Michelle McKinley, 54, of Knoxville, Tennessee, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, September 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted member of City View Baptist Church of Knoxville, Tracy earned her bachelor's degree in recreational therapy from the University of Tennessee, where she developed her passion for enriching the lives of others.

Tracy's adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively throughout the country, and she channeled this love of exploration into owning and operating her own travel agency. When she wasn't helping others discover new destinations, Tracy devoted her time to crafting, even operating an Etsy shop where she sold her unique handmade creations. Those who knew Tracy remember her as someone who was full of love and life—a woman whose maternal warmth extended far beyond her own children to embrace anyone who walked through her door. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling her friend.

Tracy was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Carolyn Hicks. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of love through her devoted husband, John Joseph McKinley; her sons, Joseph and Steven McKinley; her daughter, Muriel McKinley and her partner Matt Nubill; and her mother-in-law, Hollis A. McKinley.

Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Tracy's memory on Friday, October 3, 2025, at City View Baptist Church, located at 2311 Fine Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37917. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. A committal service will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at New Hopewell Baptist Church, 943 Kimberlin Heights Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920, with Reverend Luckey Steele officiating.
