Vicki Lynn Neeley

Vicki dedicated her career to caring for others. She got her nursing degrees from Monterey Peninsula College and Illinois University and her Masters in Counseling , Drug and Alcohol from University of Maryland. She worked at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Adolescent Psychiatry before transitioning to home health and hospice care later in her career. Her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on those she served.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1975, Vicki faithfully served in multiple capacities as needed. Her deep commitment to her faith was evident in the way she lived her life and supported her community.

Vicki will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Corliss "Buster" Neeley; her daughters, Tammy Rhone and April Harrell; and her son, Jimmy Neeley. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Kocher; her father, Jeffrey Deshotel; and her mother, Virginia Deshotel.

Known for her kindness, generosity, and inclusivity, Vicki cherished time spent with family and friends. She loved gathering for holidays and vacations, always bringing warmth and joy to those around her. She also enjoyed treating herself to manicures and pedicures and indulging in copious amounts of shopping—simple pleasures that brought her happiness.

A memorial gathering will be held on March 1, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 4700 Sale Lane in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM. Family and friends will honor Vicki with warm stories, pictures, and shared memories. A potluck meal will follow the gathering.

Vicki's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
