VIEVA VIRGINIA SIMPSON McMURRY age 90 of Powell, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Courtyards Assisted Living (The Meadows). She was a member of Ball Road Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Lester E. McMurry; parents, Roy L. and Rosa Simpson; sister, Grace Hunley. Survived by daughters and son-in-law, Huetta Sanders and Judy and Gene Evans; grandchildren, Ginny and Bruce
Smith, Leann and Ronnie McElhaney, Clay and Amy Sanders and Misty and Branden Anderson; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Turner, Seth McElhaney, and Ethan Anderson; sister, Dorothy Brooks of Jacksonville, FL; Sister-in-law, Mary Hannah Howerton; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff of Courtyards Assisted Living. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Sunday at Weaver’s.
