"I’m Walter (Dub) Marvin Ellison Bradley, the “Babydoll.” I was born in Wooddale, Knoxville, TN, and am a member of Wooddale Free Will Baptist Church. Today, December 19, 2025, the book of my life is closed. But I’m not dead, I’m more alive than ever with my Jesus, “the author and finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2).”
I was preceded in death by my parents, John W. Ellison and Marvin M. Ellison, my brother Carl (Eddie) Ellison, and my sister Doris Richardson.
Survived by my beautiful and loving friend, lover, and wife, Maribel Ellison, and seven beautiful children (5 + 2), and many grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
I want to thank Dr. Parker and my favorite nurse, Penny, for always being there for me. Moreover, thanks to the fantastic team at Andrews Physical Therapy for helping me whenever I needed it.
...
Thank my God for the opportunity of my pilgrimage on earth, and although my imperfections were many, he did not condemn me but instead abounded in his grace toward me.
I don't want to forget my favorite person, Rhonda Shoemaker, who always delighted me with her singing."
...
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wooddale Free Will Baptist Church in Dub's honor.
Online condolences may be left at www.mccartyevergreen.com for the Ellison family.
