Wiley Lester Arnold

Wiley Lester Arnold, 77, of Knoxville, went to heaven Monday, December 4, 2017. Lester was a member of First Baptist Church in Knoxville. He retired from Tennessee School for the Deaf and was a member of T.S.D. Alumni Association and member of East Tennessee Deaf Senior Citizens. He also attended T.S.D. and played football and basketball as a student. Lester was an avid bowler, golfer and a member of Tennessee Deaf Golfers Association. He received a Hall of Fame award from T.D.G.A. Also Lester was a UT Vol fanatic where his blood ran deep orange. Lester was preceded in death by parents, Claude and Mary Grace Netherly Arnold. He is survived by wife of 28 years, Christine (Beesinger) Arnold; daughter, Linda Plunk; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Montie and Willie Plunks; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be conducted at First Baptist Church, 510 Main St. S.W. Knoxville, TN, on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3:00pm with Pastor Arthur Clayton officiating.
