Wilma Christine Bright

Wilma Christine Bright, age 89 of Knoxville, Tennessee, was called home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. A member of Ball Road Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Muriel Hodges, brothers Doyle and Bill Hodges, sister Jewel Marcum, husband Bobby Bright, and daughter Brenda Humphreys. She is survived by her brothers Carroll, Jerry (Angel), and Sammy (Judy) Hodges, sister Jan Moore, sisters-in-law Judy and Virginia Bright, sons Rick (Debbie) and Jimmy (Robin) Setzer, son-in-law Glenn Humphreys, step daughters Karen (Scott) Quammen and Patty Stansberry, favorite niece Jeanetta Townsend, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A special thanks to friend Allison Harb, Jimmy and Robin Setzer, grandchildren Christy Cole and Suzy Harvey, and great grandchildren Caleb and Cora Cole and Aspen Harvey for helping care for her and keeping her spirits high. They called her Mamaw the Great, which she loved very much.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM at Pollard Cemetery, 3770 Pollard Cemetery Road, Kodak, Tennessee, 37763, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, with arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Pollard Cemetery upkeep fund or your favorite charity.
