Zula Mae Riden, age 80, of Lenoir City, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Parkwest Hospital surrounded by family. Born on June 17, 1944, in Sevier County to Ernest and Nora Holt. Zula graduated from Sevier County High School in 1962 and Business College in 1964. She worked for UT College of Law until 2008. She was a member of First Baptist Church Lenoir City. Zula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Nora Holt; brothers: Arvil and Elmer Holt; sister, Beulah Jones and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Parton.
Zula is survived by loving husband, Bill Riden; sons: Rod Parton and Greg (Tina) Parton; bonus children: Teresa (Charlie) Barnard, Darryl Riden; grandchildren: Austin (Kristen) Parton, Keeley (Matt) Stephens, Colby (Ally) Parton, Carly Parton, Rachel (Mark) Persaud, Taylor (MaryKate) Riden, Caiti Riden; great-grandchildren: Jayden Parton, Ainsley and Carson Stephens, Rebecca and Brooklyn Persaud, Elijah and Noah Riden; sister, Janice (Vaughn) Davis and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Zula's birthday, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, between the hours of 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Sherwood Chapel, 3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701 for a 1:00 PM Interment officiated by Dr. Charlie Barnard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree St. NE Ste. 600, Atlanta, GA 30309.
