

Angela “Angel” Kay Burnette, 62, of Kokomo, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025 at her residence. She was born on June 30, 1963 in Wabash to the late Robert Ennis and Sandra Sue (Hopkins) Mitchell.
Angel worked as a bartender, most of her life. She was a bartender at VFW Post #1152 until she became sick with cancer. Angel enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved shopping and finding good deals. She also enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was camping, being by the water, or doing yard work. Angel loved celebrating the holidays. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Bruiser.
Angel is survived by her children, Steven McKinney, Shandia (Shane Carrigan) Thompson, Ryan Stabler, and Summer Brahm; grandchildren, Keshawn Stabler, Asia Stabler, Kali (Isaiah Fisher) Smith, Tyler Carrigan, and Jordan McKinney; great-grandchildren, Willow Stabler, Xaila Fisher, and Xalaya Fisher; siblings, Lori (Darrell) Gillem and Todd Helton; one uncle; one aunt; and many loving cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; aunts; and nephew, Lonnie Ennis.
Angel’s family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at VFW Post #1152, 920 North Washington Street, Kokomo, IN 46901
