Angela L Hopson

There are angels among us. Heaven just received another angel. Angela Lynn Hopson was born in Kokomo, Indiana on May 8, 1974 and passed away January 24, 2025 after a brief illness. Angie was the kindest, sweetest, most loving and gentle spirit God ever created. She had a heart for people and even though she had many health concerns, she was always cheerful and wanted to hear how you were doing. Angie loved God and God gifted her that beautiful quality of truly child-like faith. When you met her, you felt you were instantly loved and accepted.

Angie had a heart for learning, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education, beginning at the University of Tennessee and completing it at Indiana University - Kokomo. She then went on to complete her Master's Degree. Angie loved family get-togethers, watching crime/detective dramas, and playing with her fur babies Leo, Shadow, Sonny and Cali.

Angie is survived by her brother, Kenneth Hopson, Jr.; aunts, Patty Jackson & Angie Hopson; uncle, Tony Arredondo; cousins, James Jackson, Melissa Hopson, and Stephanie Hopson; special family friend, Kevin Marcrum; and friends, Melissa Morris, Pam Shoemaker and Jeff Eades.

Angie loved her aids, Ayla, Janelle and Madison (and the feeling was mutual!), who were with her the past several years and helped her in her home.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Cherrie Hopson; cousin, Judy Grose; uncle, Virgil Jackson; as well as her grandparents, great-grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

There will be a celebration of life gathering for Angie on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Rd., Kokomo, IN 46902. Her funeral service will begin at 1:00pm, officiated by Pastor Jason Grant. Burial will immediately follow her service at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
