Arnold Slagle

Arnold L. Slagle, 73, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:35 PM Monday February 26, 2018 at St Vincent, Kokomo. Born July 17, 1944 in Monticello Kentucky, he was the son of the late Zora (Crabtree) and Jess Slagle. On June 18, 1984, he married Patricia Ann (Trent) Slagle. She preceded him in death.

He worked at Delco Electronics for over 30 years. Arnold enjoyed cooking and gardening and in his previous years loved to go fishing. He was a loving father and grandfather and he is now reunited with his love, Patricia.

He is survived by two daughters Sherri (husband Terry) Thieke of Amboy, Shelli (Paul) Byrd of Herbst, Indiana; sister in law, Betty I. Trent “Aunt B” of Kokomo; one nephew Andy Trent; grandchildren Christopher Breed, Nicole Connolly, Heather (David) Hunt, Brandon Thieke (Fiance Nikki), Brant (Kayla) Byrd, Paul Jr. (Krista) Byrd, Kylie (Ryan) Ferrell, Peyton Byrd (Courtney); great grandchildren Brayden and Elija Breed, Madisyn and Carter Connolly, Alisyn and Ariah Tharp, Payton Hunt, Logan Byrd, Cale Byrd, Makenna Byrd, Jake Seals, Jackson Byrd, Karsyn Byrd, and Kourtney Volmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Patricia.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel. Gary Hendricks will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at the mortuary.
