Arthur LeRoy Rogers

Arthur LeRoy Rogers, 93, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:55 AM Saturday March 3, 2018 at his residence. Born December 11, 1924 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Charles and Edith Rogers. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in the South Pacific. He married Katherine (Weaver) and she preceded him in death in May of 2004. He was employed at Chrysler, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #685. He enjoyed fishing and above all helping and serving people.

He is survived by one son Scott (Dee) Rogers of Kokomo; one daughter Rose Pratt of Kokomo; seven grandchildren Michelle (John) Meadors, Rebecca Rubenalt, Kendra (Greg) Duke, Kristina Pratt, Daniel Rogers, Jamie Rogers, and Jessica Rogers, 14 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and one nephew Steve Rogers of Kokomo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Donald Parson, one grandchild Little Scott Rogers, four brothers, and one sister.

Funral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Bishop Dennis Marler will officiate. Burial with Military Rites by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo Military Rites Team will follow in Albright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday at the mortuary.
