

Barbara Ann (Heninger) Moore, 80, Kokomo, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016, in Kokomo at Waterford Health Campus. She was born Sept. 13, 1935, in Kokomo, the daughter of Donald and Lena (Wininger) Heninger.
Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Kokomo High School. Over the years, she worked at various doctor’s offices, the Kolux Corp., and at Howard Community Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. Barbara loved animals, going shopping and out to eat, and watching football with her grandchildren. She was a member of First Friends Meeting in Kokomo.
On June 13, 1953, she married Jack Hunt, who preceded her in death. On March 11, 1973, she married William Moore, who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Lee Heninger.
Barbara is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kathy Hunt; her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Dale Shelly; her stepson, Scott Moore; and her stepdaughter, Nicole Perkins; her grandchildren, Brad Shelly, Amanda Shelly, and David Shelly; her step-grandchildren, Aaron Moore, Kain Perkins, and Kayla Perkins; and her great-granddaughter, Lena Marie Parks.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, with Pastor Gary Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
